Dear 5A Families,
In math we took the Unit 7 test and spent a few days reviewing previously learned topics. The kids will get a mini math break for a few days following the math MCAS. In Science, we’ve started studying weather. It timed our perfectly with our visit from the WBZ meteorologist, Pamela Gardner (http://boston.cbslocal.com/video/3660414-wbz-tv-weather-school-visitsfoster-elementary-school-in-hingham-ma/). The kids have been asked to start watching weather reports at night to prepare them for creating their own! In social studies, we’re learning about the original 13 colonies. And will move on to slavery in the next week or so. In writing the kids have worked so hard to draft creative and well-written poems. We continue to spend time in class and at home turning rough drafts into final drafts. Stay tuned for the final poetry books!
